The But Stops Here is a personal blog about my attempts to develop a healthier lifestyle. One of the things that has been most helpful to me is teaching myself cognitive therapy, to become aware of my thoughts and talk back to the unhelpful ones. “Buts” usually begin the unhelpful thoughts: “But I don’t feel like exercising today,” “But I really, really want to have that cookie.” Learning to stop the “buts” has been a must for me, thus “The But Stops Here.”
